Arthur Goodman Strong Memorial Scholarship Application

This scholarship is for 1 year.  Recipients may reapply each year.  The amount of the scholarship can change each year depending on the amount of funds available and the number of recipients.

Criteria to qualify for this scholarship:

  • Residency in Manchester for at least six months immediately prior to application
  • Age 17 or older
  • A disability or impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities as interpreted under the Americans With Disabilities Act
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Planning to begin or continue post-secondary education
  • Application Due Date:  June 30, 2021

Documents needed to apply: 

  • Verification of high school diploma or GED
  • An IEP, 504 plan, a Physician’s Statement or Military Information documenting a disability or impairment
  • Transcripts from any post-secondary schools attended
  • Statement from the college noting that you have been accepted or the most recent  transcript
  • Statement of educational objective
  • Completed application - Arthur Goodman Strong Application, Party A (online)

This is a renewable scholarship until graduation from the accredited institution.

Application Instructions

All applicants are responsible for the submission of part A.  The Manchester Scholarship Foundation, Inc. reserves the right not to process applications found to be incomplete.

Part A must be completed online and include High School diploma, GED of any year or military service information.

Part A gives permission for your school to release your records to Manchester Scholarship Foundation, Inc.
